For Parents and Patients
NEBA is a biologically-based ADHD assessment aid for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 17. Clinicians use NEBA to measure neural activity using an EEG marker.
Getting a NEBA Report is fast, simple and straightforward. In a clinician's office, patient data is collected in the form of EEG. EEG uses electrodes placed on the head to detect minute electrical changes on the scalp resulting from electrical activity in the brain. NEBA uses electrodes like a traditional EEG, but far fewer, meaning quick setup and cleanup. Also like traditional EEG, NEBA is non-invasive. The data collection procedure is quick, just 10 minutes while the patient sits in a chair with eyes open.
NEBA provides useful, accurate, and reliable information to your clinician to confirm a diagnosis of ADHD or to support a decision for further testing. The information is unique, separating ADHD-diagnosed children into sub groups, which may be important to your clinician in confirming an ADHD diagnosis or supporting further testing for your child.
Biologically-based support may help you feel more comfortable with your clinician’s evaluation, and may help to reduce the perceived stigma associated with ADHD.
